Academic Documents

Required for course admission applications to New Zealand institutions.

  • SSC / O-Level certificate and mark sheet
  • HSC / A-Level certificate and mark sheet
  • Bachelor's degree certificate (if applicable)
  • Official academic transcripts for all years
  • Postgraduate certificates or diplomas (if applicable)
  • Medium of instruction letter from institution
  • Course completion letter (if degree not yet conferred)

Application Timeline

When to Do What

A typical New Zealand student visa application takes 6–8 months from start to departure. Use this timeline to stay on track.

Research & Pre-Assessment

Complete your free pre-assessment, shortlist programmes, and confirm entry requirements.

5–6 months before

Apply for Admission

Submit your application to your chosen institution. Gather academic and English language documents.

Receive Offer of Place

Accept your conditional or unconditional offer and pay the required tuition deposit.

Prepare Visa Documents

Obtain police clearance, medical certificate, financial evidence, and GTE statement.

Lodge Visa Application

Submit your student visa application online via the INZ portal with all supporting documents.

Visa Decision & Travel Prep

Receive your visa, book flights, arrange accommodation, and prepare for departure.
